Investigate: Encouraging Exploration Through Playful Learning πŸ”πŸŽ‰

Bismillah: As Syauqi grew more curious, we realized the importance of encouraging exploration as a key part of his Quranic education. Learning through play became our go-to method, as it naturally aligned with his inquisitive nature. 🌟

Fostering a Curious Mind 🌱

  • Exploring Through Stories: We turned Quranic stories into adventures, prompting Syauqi to ask questions and make discoveries on his own. Each story became a puzzle for him to solve, sparking endless curiosity.
  • Hands-On Activities: We introduced playful learning activities, such as treasure hunts based on stories from the Quran. For instance, after learning about the story of Prophet Sulaiman (AS) and the ants, we’d go on β€œant adventures” in the garden, observing how ants worked together. 🐜
  • Learning Through Experimentation: Simple experiments, like observing how plants grow after learning about Allah’s creation, helped Syauqi understand the wonders of the world through an Islamic lens.

One memorable moment was when Syauqi eagerly collected rocks from the backyard to replicate the stones used in the story of Prophet Dawud (AS). His excitement to recreate the scene showed how deeply he was connecting with the lessons. πŸͺ¨

Building Curiosity with Iqrasaurus πŸ¦–

This stage in our journey focused on the Investigate pillar, encouraging Syauqi to explore, question, and learn through hands-on experiences. By nurturing his curiosity, we were helping him build a strong foundation of faith that was rooted in discovery and understanding.

As Allah says in the Quran:

"Say, β€˜Travel through the land and observe how He began creation.’" (Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:20) 🌍

This verse inspired us to encourage Syauqi to observe and explore the world around him, seeing it as a testament to Allah’s greatness.

A Peek Into Our Conversations πŸ—¨οΈ

Syauqi: "Ummi, can we go find ants like Prophet Sulaiman did?"

Ummi Ziehan: "Of course! Let’s see how they work together just like in the story."

Daddy Ikram: "And maybe we’ll discover something new about Allah’s creation while we explore."

Syauqi: "I love finding new things, Daddy! Let’s go on an ant adventure!" 🐜🌟

End Note: Encouraging exploration through play helps children connect deeply with the world and their faith. Next time, we’ll share how we welcomed Hilwaa and adapted our methods for a growing family! πŸŒΌπŸ‘Ά
