Impart: Sharing Our Journey with Other Families πŸŒπŸ“š

2 minute read

Bismillah: As we reflected on our first year of homeschooling, we felt a growing desire to share our experiences with other families. We had learned so much and developed methods that brought the Quran to life for our children. We realized that other parents might be facing similar challenges and that our journey could offer valuable insights and support. 🌟

Reaching Out to the Community 🌱

  • Starting Small: We began by sharing our experiences with close friends and family. We told them about our homeschooling journey, the tools we developed, and how we integrated Quranic teachings into everyday life. Many were inspired and curious to learn more.
  • Workshops and Gatherings: Soon, we were organizing small workshops and gatherings where we demonstrated our methods, like using doodles and games to teach Quranic stories. These sessions were informal, filled with discussion, shared experiences, and plenty of laughter. πŸŽ¨πŸ–οΈ
  • Building a Support Network: The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we saw the need to create a more formal support network. We started an online group where parents could connect, share resources, and encourage each other in their educational journeys.

One of the most touching moments was when a parent from our community shared how their child, who had been struggling with Quranic studies, found joy in learning again after using our doodle maps. This feedback reinforced our commitment to helping other families make learning the Quran a joyful and engaging experience. 🌟

Expanding the Iqrasaurus Community πŸ¦–

This phase of our journey emphasized the Impart pillar, where the focus was on sharing knowledge and resources with others. We realized that the lessons we had learned could benefit many families, and we felt a strong sense of responsibility to help others navigate their own educational paths.

As Allah says in the Quran:

"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:2) 🌟

This verse encouraged us to continue sharing our journey, knowing that by working together, we could help each other raise the next generation of Muslims with strong faith and knowledge.

A Peek Into Our Conversations πŸ—¨οΈ

Ummi Ziehan: "Daddy, do you think other families would benefit from what we’ve learned?"

Daddy Ikram: "I believe so, Ummi. Many parents want to make learning the Quran enjoyable and meaningful, just like we do. We can help them with the tools we’ve developed."

Syauqi: "Can we share our doodles with other kids too?"

Ummi Ziehan: "Yes, Syauqi! That’s the planβ€”to help other families learn about the Quran in fun and creative ways, just like you do."

End Note: Sharing our journey with others has strengthened our sense of community and our commitment to spreading the joy of learning the Quran. In our next post, we’ll talk about how we expanded our curriculum to include science and geography through the lens of the Quran. πŸŒπŸ”
