From Brother to Sister: How Syauqi Became Nurin’s First Teacher πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦

2 minute read

Bismillah: With Nurin now a part of our family, it didn’t take long for Syauqi to step into the role of a big brother and a little teacher. His love for the Quran and the excitement of sharing it with his baby sister was a beautiful thing to witness. 🌸

Teaching Through Love 🌟

  • Leading by Example: Syauqi naturally began to mimic the way we taught him, reciting short Quranic verses and telling simplified stories to Nurin. His enthusiasm was infectious, and Nurin’s giggles and smiles were all the encouragement he needed to keep going.
  • Bonding Over Stories: One of their favorite activities was storytime, where Syauqi would sit next to Nurin and β€œread” to her from his memory. He loved retelling the story of Prophet Yunus (AS) and the whale, adding his own playful twists to keep Nurin engaged. πŸ‹
  • Learning Together: We also encouraged Syauqi to involve Nurin in his doodling sessions. He’d draw the stories he remembered and explain them to her, creating a shared learning experience that deepened their bond.

One of the most touching moments was when Syauqi proudly showed Nurin his drawing of Prophet Musa (AS) parting the Red Sea. He explained how Allah helped Prophet Musa, and Nurin clapped along, even though she was too young to fully understand. 🌊

Strengthening the Iqrasaurus Family πŸ¦–

This phase highlighted the Impart pillar of our journey. Watching Syauqi take on the role of a teacher not only strengthened his own understanding of the Quran but also laid the foundation for a lifelong bond of love and learning between the siblings.

As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it to others." 🌟

This hadith became our guiding light as we encouraged Syauqi to share his knowledge with Nurin, knowing that it was a way of deepening both their connections to the Quran.

A Peek Into Our Conversations πŸ—¨οΈ

Syauqi: "Ummi, do you think Nurin understands the story I told her?"

Ummi Ziehan: "She might not understand everything yet, but she feels your love, and that’s the best way to teach her."

Daddy Ikram: "And as she grows, she’ll start to remember the stories you tell her, and she’ll look up to you as her teacher."

Nurin: (Giggling and reaching for Syauqi’s drawing)

Syauqi: "I can’t wait to teach her more, Daddy!" 🌟

End Note: Sharing knowledge within the family strengthens bonds and deepens our understanding of faith. In our next post, we’ll explore how we encouraged exploration and playful learning through Quranic stories! πŸ”πŸŽ‰
