Building Iqrasaurus: Our Vision for a Quran-Centered Learning Platform π¦π
2 minute read
Bismillah: As our familyβs educational journey continued, we began dreaming of something bigger than just our home lessonsβa platform that could help other families incorporate Quranic teachings into their childrenβs education. Thus, the vision for Iqrasaurus was born, inspired by our experiences and the desire to share the joy of learning the Quran with others. π
The Birth of a Vision π±
- From Our Family to Yours: The idea for Iqrasaurus came from our journey with Syauqi, Nurin, and Hilwaa. We realized that the tools and methods we developed could benefit other families who were looking for engaging ways to teach the Quran to their children. We wanted to create something that would make Quranic education accessible, fun, and deeply rooted in Islamic values. π
- A Holistic Approach: Our vision was to build a platform that didnβt just focus on memorization, but on understanding, internalizing, and living the teachings of the Quran. We aimed to integrate faith into every aspect of learning, whether it was through stories, games, doodles, or discussions. This holistic approach was the foundation of Iqrasaurus.
- Community and Connection: We also wanted Iqrasaurus to be a community where families could connect, share resources, and support each other in their educational journeys. It was about building a network of like-minded parents and educators who were passionate about raising the next generation of Muslims with strong faith and knowledge.
One of the driving forces behind Iqrasaurus was the realization that many parents, like us, were seeking resources that aligned with their Islamic values while still being engaging and educational for their children. We saw a gap in the market and felt a deep responsibility to fill it. π
Bringing Iqrasaurus to Life π¦
The development of Iqrasaurus was a natural extension of the Inspire and Integrate pillars of our journey. We wanted to create a resource that would inspire other families to make the Quran a central part of their childrenβs education, just as we had done.
As Allah says in the Quran:
"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:2) π
This verse reminded us of the importance of working together as a community to achieve righteous goals, which became a core principle of Iqrasaurus.
A Peek Into Our Conversations π¨οΈ
Ummi Ziehan: "Daddy, do you think other families would like the way we teach the Quran to our kids?"
Daddy Ikram: "I believe so, Ummi. Many parents want to make learning the Quran enjoyable and meaningful, just like we do. Iqrasaurus could be the answer theyβre looking for."
Syauqi: "Can we share our stories and doodles with other kids too?"
Ummi Ziehan: "Yes, Syauqi! Thatβs the planβto help other families learn about the Quran in fun and creative ways, just like you do."
End Note: Iqrasaurus was born from a vision to inspire and empower families in their Quranic education journey. In our next post, weβll reflect on our first year of homeschooling and the lessons we learned along the way. ππ
